Project: Oceanic Tower, Miami (Coastal High-Rise)
Challenge:
Situated in a hurricane-prone zone, the glazing system required wind pressures up to 55 psf while meeting strict deflection limits (L/175). Standard off-the-shelf fittings could not adequately absorb the building's structural sway without risking point-load stress fractures on the tempered glass panels.

Solution:
Railing-O performed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimize the clamping force of our 316L stainless steel spigots—prioritizing 316L over 304 for superior pitting resistance in chloride-rich marine atmospheres. We re-engineered the base plate geometry to distribute dynamic live loads evenly and supplied detailed CAD shop drawings (Detail A-101) for precise chemical anchor bolt positioning, ensuring zero deviation on-site.
Result:
The system passed ASTM E330 structural performance testing with a 25% safety margin. We delivered a comprehensive submittal package including stamped engineering calculations, which accelerated architect approval and reduced on-site installation adjustments by 40%.
